STEM Outside The Box (STEM OTB) seeks to
ignite a spark of scientific curiosity in elementary school, middle
school and high school students through critical thinking and
hands-on exploration.
In order to accomplish our goal, we offer short but creative
small group camps that inspire students to pursue activities in
Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). Our goal is
to sow the seed of curiosity early and allow students to delve in
scientific, engineering or mathematical inquiry. Our camps are run
in a collaborative and non-judgemental environment. Through such
activities we hope to identify and support creative and critical
thinkers early i.e. by middle school years so that they would feel
confident to pursue STEM related activities/fields in future (high
school, college, and career).
One of our initiatives is supporting Girls in Engineering And
Robotics (GEAR).
STEM OTB actively recruits High School students as support volunteers. We recognize exceptional service to our community by volunteers of our organization by awarding Volunteer Service Cetificate.
